The third episode in the series is titled Lollipop Lane - There's Something About Shirley, and starred Pauline Dalais and Sivani Chinappan as the two leads, Singh-Sing and Singh-Song, with the talented Caitlin Kilburn, who headed the roster in her whacky role as Shirley. Other well-known names in the ensemble cast included audience favourite, Mpume Mthombeni, Musa Ntuli, Standard Bank Ovation Award-winning actress Shona Johnson, and radio veterans, Caroline Smart and Tom Read. There’s Something About Shirley pokes fun at more of the show’s characters, and in particular, the orange-haired, tree-hugging, dolphin-whispering Shirley McDoodle.

The second episode in the series is titled Lollipop Lane - The Beauty Spot, and starred Pauline Dalais and Sivani Chinappan as the two leads, Singh-Sing and Singh-Song, with Mayuri Naidu, Shona Johnson, Musa Ntuli, Maeshni Naicker, Kim Ferguson and Caroline Smart each playing an array of colourful characters. With more ambition than brains two friends start their own beauty salon. Before long the staff includes a muscle-bound, clumsy dimwit and a receptionist with a string of goofy ex-husbands. Beware all ye clients who enter here... it's going to be a bumpy ride.

The first episode in the series is titled Lollipop Lane - The Big Biscuit Bake-Off, and starred Pauline Dalais and Sivani Chinappan as the two leads, Singh-Sing and Singh-Song, with Kajal Bagwandeen, Hamish Kyd, Mpume Mthombeni, Tom Read, Mayuri Naidu and Caroline Smart each playing an array of colourful characters. The story sees the Lollipop women challenging a rival biscuit company to a ‘biscuit bake-off’. What ensues is a comical war of words, flying pots and pans, accusations, theft, and a lot of secret ingredients!

The Calf With No Name

Featuring large and beautiful African puppets, this heart-warming story about a young Zulu boy and Nguni cattle teaches youngsters about honesty, taking responsibility for one’s actions, and doing the right thing. The play is currently published by Maskew Miller Longman in their Platinum Reader for Grade 8 English Second Language. The play for six performers is available in English or isiZulu as well as a solo narrated version.

Using colourful puppets of all types, masks and a giant, this story teaches children the valuable lessons of self-acceptance, friendship, listening to parents, eating healthily, exercising, how damaging bullying can be, and that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
